The Difference between a Psychic, a Seer, and a Medium

Generally speaking, a Seer is someone who sees, and uses uniquely or mostly the clairvoyance (French for sees clearly) skill.

A Channeler (in the middle, a go-between) uses their psychic skill to tune into a non-embodied spirit (or spirits) who does the work of getting the needed information. Good Channelers can be very accurate. They only need to be able to tune into one spirit to function well.

A Trance-Medium is somewhat similar in the sense that the "psychic" is not actually doing anything once they achieve the trance state, but making room for another soul to communicate through their body. They basically put their body to sleep, and let another soul wake it up. Mediums usually assign a friend to watch over their bodies, ensuring the invited guest (the other soul) doesn't go crazy at the mall with their credit card.

A Psychic is one who uses one or more of the psychic abilities in order to gain access to information about events present, past and events to come.

Very few seers / psychics / mediums / channelers have talents or abilities that limit them to merely one of the these definitions.

To better understand these explanations, it will help to be familiar with the various skills and senses that a psychic uses to "receive" information and some basics on how the psychic ability works. Go read up on those on our website too.
