Psychic Tools

Psychic tools include such devices as Tarot cards, crystal balls, tea and coffee cups, sometimes twigs or feathers, pebbles, and using owner's objects, called Psychometry. We describe the very basics for you below.

  1. Tarot Cards are the most in depth tool, as each card bears a given meaning, the cards' locations bear significance, and the psychic's attraction to certain colors and symbols adds still further meaning. It is worth noting that card sets are very different from each other. Not all bear enough symbols or colors to be adequately useful to us, though others have systems they are happy with. Also, many people assume that cards have a god-given meaning. This is not so. Each card is assigned a specific meaning. There are many thousands of systems of assigned meanings. Our system is kept bare-bones simple (a rarity) in order to permit a high level of accuracy in our readings, while complete enough to answer all life's situations.
  2. Crystal Balls involve a technique of visually un-focusing the mind in order to receive visions of events. The ball itself is not the source of the visions, just the projector screen for the visions. Not a popular technique in these times, perhaps due to the association of crystal balls with fakes of past times.
  3. Tea Leaves involves the searching for patterns in loose tea leaves in the bottom of an empty cup. This demands that the psychic have a set of well understood symbols in their toolbox, a visual vocabulary.
  4. Coffee Grounds Same as tea leaves except this uses the left over coffee grounds patterns (you don't always get any patterns) in the cup. The coffee is usually of the Arabian or Turkish kind, very strong, and very sweet. Yummy!
  5. Twigs and feathers Same as above, and related more to the ancient traditions on our planet.
  6. I Ching is a Chinese oracle tool for divining the future or looking into a person's inner world. In that way it functions similarly to tarot, but with less depth of detail. It does not talk about all aspects of modern life, and is therefore somewhat limited, although by no means a bad tool. Not very popular in America. Yarrow sticks are the traditional method, however, more commonly, three coins are tossed six times. The patterns of face up or face down is interpreted based on a pre-established system as described in the Book of Changes.
  7. Psychometry uses an object that belongs or belonged to a person. Usual choices are metallic objects like watches, rings or lockets, but sometimes it is a person's favorite slippers, or Teddy-bear. What is important is that it was worn, or near the person often. The process here is direct psychic perception.
  8. Ordinary Deck of Cards are sometimes used by psychics instead of tarot cards. There may be less depth than tarot cards, but usually, the psychic is going beyond the cards. The 52 playing card deck evolved from tarot cards when the tarot was outlawed by the religious rulers of earlier centuries.
